KDCC 25/26 Ashes Test Match Raffles
3rd Test – Adelaide (Sold Out)
Rules
A test match is fully subscribed when the 121 tickets are purchased at $20 each. Once a test match is fully subscribed, a draw will take place to allocate a ticket number for each of the tickets sold (numbered 1 to 121). Only one test match is open for purchase at any time.
Each ticket number represents a unique player combination consisting of one player from each side.
Both Australia and England players will be listed in alphabetical order of surname. They become players A1 to A11 and E1 to E11
Matching/Linking the ticket numbers to the player numbers will happen as follows;
| Ticket # | Aust Player | Eng Player | Drawn By |
| 1 | A1 | E1 | |
| 2 | A1 | E2 | |
| 3 | A1 | E3 | |
| 4 | A1 | E4 | |
| 5 | A1 | E5 | |
| 6 | A1 | E6 | |
| 7 | A1 | E7 | |
| 8 | A1 | E8 | |
| 9 | A1 | E9 | |
| 10 | A1 | E10 | |
| 11 | A1 | E11 | |
| 12 | A2 | E1 | |
| 13 | A2 | E2 | |
| 14 | A2 | E3 |
| . . . 117 |
. . . A11 |
. . . E7 |
|
| 118 | A11 | E8 | |
| 119 | A11 | E9 | |
| 120 | A11 | E10 | |
| 121 | A11 | E11 |
where A1 and E1 will be the first alphabetically listed player in each team, and A11 and E11 will be the last alphabetically listed player in each team.
A list of subscribers and the ticket numbers they have randomly drawn will be published at the bottom of this description once teams are confirmed after the toss.
Players playing in the test match accumulate points based on performance in the match. These are as follows;
1 point per run,
20 points per wicket,
20 points per catch,
20 points per stumping,
40 points for a caught and bowled,
0 points (nothing) for a runout, and
0 points (nothing) for a sub fielder.
However, any points accumulated by a player who has replaced another player in the match (e.g. Smith/Labuschagne at Lords 2019) will be allocated to the player who was replaced.
All test matches must have at least three players accumulate points to constitute a result for this competition. If a match is abandoned without a ball being bowled, all subscribers will be refunded the cost of their ticket.
No combinations contain two players from the same team.
The best performed combination wins first prize of $600. Second prize is $300, and third prize is $150.
A list of subscribers and the players they have drawn will be published on this website as soon as practicable after both teams have been confirmed.
The club will contact all winners to arrange the disbursement of prize money within 48 hours after the conclusion of the test match.
First prize of $600 goes to the participant holding the ticket number correlating to the highest points scorer from each team. If more than one player from either team accumulates the equal highest number of points, First and second prize money will be added and shared between the two ticket holders.
Each test match is an individual raffle with a separate draw for each match and therefore constitutes a minor lottery promotion for which a licence is not required.
All 121 tickets are “in play”. Therefore, there cannot be any unsold tickets. if a test match is not fully subscribed, the raffle for that test match will be aborted and the subscriptions will be returned to the purchaser(s).
All decisions made by the committee are final.
