Kensington cricket clubrooms to get $8.3m replacement

The Kensington District Cricket Club clubrooms, established almost 60 years ago, will be replaced with a new $8.3m facility.

Liberal MP James Stevens has confirmed a $3.6m federal grant to enable the shared clubroom project to proceed. The $8.3m facility at Kensington Gardens Reserve will be shared by Kensington District Cricket Club and Burnside Rugby Club.

“The new clubrooms will include suitable change rooms and facilities for female participation in both sports, as well as becoming a broader community facility for other local groups to use for meetings and events,” Mr Stevens said.
