KDCC Secures the Signing of Rising Star Jason Sangha

Kensington District Cricket Club is excited to announce the signing of Jason Sangha, one of Australia’s brightest young cricket talents. The 25-year-old right-handed batsman and leg-spinner, who has represented Australia at the Under-19 World Cup and captained the Sydney Thunder in the Big Bash League, will join Kensi for the upcoming season.

Sangha, who made his first-class debut at just 18 and became the second-youngest player to score a first-class century against England (following in the footsteps of Sachin Tendulkar), is eager to start this new chapter with the prestigious club. Known for his versatile batting and handy leg-spin, Sangha has enjoyed a career full of milestones, including being one of the few players to receive a New South Wales contract while still in school.

Jason’s journey has seen highs and lows, with standout performances in the 2021-22 Sheffield Shield and Big Bash seasons, where he posted 504 runs in the Shield and 445 runs in the BBL. After a tough season with New South Wales, Sangha is ready to prove himself once again in South Australian cricket. His move to Kensi will see him team up with other top-tier players, further bolstering the club’s already impressive lineup.

Kensington District Cricket Club is thrilled to welcome Jason Sangha and looks forward to seeing his skills and leadership on full display this season.

Welcome to the Kensi family, Jason!
